About Us

We are Adam and Pam Rouske and we established Wags to Whiskers in Salem, Oregon in 2006.  The two of us provide all of our client pet sitting services and both of us have over 40 years of pet experience. We were both raised in loving homes with many beloved pets and have always had pets in our adult lives. 

Our pets are our only children. As devoted and doting pet parents, we understand the importance of having a trusted, loving pet sitter for our pets and home to bring us piece of mind when we are away. We strive to bring that same trust and assurance to our clients.

We are bonded and insured by Professional United Pet Sitters. We provide client references at our free pet sitting consultation meeting and are recommended and get many referrals from local area Veterinarian clinics.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our business experienced a complete shut-down. This served as a catalyst and change in our operations as we began to explore other income opportunities. Because of this change, we are no longer available for dog walking or AM/PM dog care. We are now focused on providing cat sitting and small animal (fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) pet care.
